COMMUNITY HEALTH UPDATE
Covid-19/Coronavirus

October 28, 2020

Yesterday, a team member who provided direct care in the Healthcare center, Hearthstone assisted Living and MyTapestry memory care tested positive for COVID-19 during our surveillance testing using on-site rapid test kits. We conducted confirmatory testing which produced a negative result. Because of the conflicting results, we conducted a PCR test which will be sent to a lab for final confirmation. We expect to receive those results in the next 36-48 hours. The team member immediately left the building and will remain in quarantine until the Health Department approves their return.

Because of this, we are postponing our progress into Phase 2 pending the resolution of this new possible case. We will follow the health department’s guidance for the appropriate next steps and timeline. We are continuing with weekly testing of all residents and associates. Our next round of resident tests will be conducted on Thursday, October 29.
